The hardware around the cells when you build or rebuild a pack. Start with an empty stainless steel battery box for the Sur-Ron Light Bee and Talaria Sting, 35.5 cm or 38 cm tall, then add the main lead, factory-style RCPROPLUS 6808 D6 plugs, QS8, QS10 or XT150 power connectors and Sur-Ron 3-pin or 4-pin charge plugs.

Choosing a battery box
Both boxes are stainless steel, fit the Sur-Ron Light Bee L1E and X and the Talaria Sting, and come with a lid, a carry strap, mounting bolts and a grommet that seals the cable exit against mud and moisture. Choose by the height of the pack you will put inside, up to about 35.5 cm or up to about 38 cm, and check that it matches the internal width and depth. Displays and charge or discharge connectors are sold separately.
Wiring the pack
- To a stock Light Bee X: the RCPROPLUS 6808 D6 female fits the battery and the male the controller side, matching the factory SurRon plug.
- For high current: QS8 male and female plugs, QS10 and XT150. The Light Bee X main battery power cable carries power from the battery to the controller.
- Charging: the 3-pin and 4-pin Sur-Ron male plugs for the charger side, or XT60 and anti-spark XT90-S plugs for a custom charge port.
Cells, BMS or a finished pack
For the cells, see 21700 and 18650; for protection, the BMS range. A high-voltage Sur-Ron or Talaria pack is serious work, so if you would rather have it done, we design and build custom lithium battery packs in Kaunas and test every one before it ships.

Which battery box fits my bike?
Both fit the Sur-Ron Light Bee L1E and X and the Talaria Sting. Pick the 35.5 cm or 38 cm box by the height of the pack you plan to fit, and check its width and depth too.
Does the battery box come with cells or a BMS?
No. It is an empty enclosure with a lid, carry strap, mounting bolts and a cable grommet. Cells, BMS, display, charger and connectors are bought separately.
Which plug matches the original Light Bee X battery connector?
The RCPROPLUS 6808 D6 follows the factory SurRon standard, so it mates with the original harness without rework. Order the female for a pack and the male for the bike side.
