Battery order conditions
All batteries sold by FabiRide are manufactured exclusively to individual order, for a specific model and type, on the basis of the size, weight and technical data provided by the customer. If the information is not provided, or is inaccurate or incorrect, the seller and manufacturer, FabiRide, accepts no liability for any discrepancies, possible damage or other effects on the customer’s device or property.
Where the customer has provided incorrect information for production, FabiRide reserves the right to refuse to accept a battery manufactured to order for return, exchange or modification.
BATTERY WARRANTY CONDITIONS
The warranty period for batteries is 6 months from the date of manufacture.
A 6-month warranty is provided for batteries for e-scooters, e-bikes, e-skateboards, e-hoverboards, e-motorcycles and e-choppers, for additional power storage units, cargo vehicles, agricultural machinery and boats, and for other batteries manufactured by FabiRide.
The warranty applies if all the batteries specified for the vehicle in question in the instructions are replaced at the same time.
The warranty covers manufacturing defects only, i.e. defects resulting from poor-quality materials or manufacturing faults.
The warranty does not apply if:
- The battery was used or stored in breach of the instructions for use.
- The electrical equipment of the vehicle malfunctions or does not meet the requirements:
a) the leakage current with the “ignition” switched off exceeds 0.1 A (the norm is 0.02 A).
b) the charging and discharging power and voltage do not correspond to the battery specifications.
c) the battery was charged at an excessively high charging voltage. - The device/vehicle was left unused for more than 48 hours with the alarm, lights or other functions that draw on the battery’s energy switched on.
- The battery was discharged and left standing – not recharged for more than 48 hours.
- The battery was used for purposes other than its intended purpose – with another motor or device, or in another vehicle.
- The battery was used with equipment of an unsuitable voltage, i.e. the battery is too weak or too powerful for the controller/motor/device you are using.
- The battery is used without being securely fastened, without being placed in special holders or in a secure box that protects it against water, dirt and impacts. It is not protected against vibration.
- The battery wrapping is damaged.
- The battery housing or other components are broken or otherwise mechanically damaged.
- The battery components or cells have been damaged, dented or torn as a result of improper installation or careless or improper operation.
- The battery has been exposed to water or liquids.
- The battery was charged with an unsuitable charger – too weak, too powerful or of the wrong voltage.
- A fully charged battery was left with the charger connected for more than 12 hours.
- Frozen batteries (a discharged battery can freeze at a temperature of -10 °C).
- Fully discharged batteries in which the voltage per cell is below 2.9 V.
- Batteries that have exploded (an explosion occurs only as a result of an external spark or fire).
- The battery has worn out as a result of intensive or improper operation and maintenance.
- An item with damaged serial number stickers or seals.
- An item whose serial number cannot be identified due to damage or other factors.
- The general warranty conditions have not been complied with.
- If battery faults are found to have been caused through the buyer’s fault, by failure to follow the instructions for use of the battery, the vehicle or the device, the warranty ceases to be valid (is terminated).
If the battery was manufactured to incorrect specifications through the fault of the customer, who provided incorrect information, the battery cannot be returned.
Where a battery is manufactured without the customer having provided complete information (size – dimensions in millimetres, weight – in kilograms, motor power or load – in watts, voltage – in volts, number of cells connected in series – in units, number of cells connected in parallel – in units, nominal capacity – in ampere-hours (Ah), the rating of the battery protection system device, and whether a battery balancing system device is to be installed and its rating), the manufacturer FabiRide fills in the missing data not provided by the customer and reserves the right to refuse to accept the battery on the grounds of non-conformity with the listed parameters that were not provided.
As the battery is assembled by hand, a human assembly tolerance of 5% per side is permitted in the dimensions of the battery.
A manufactured battery that meets the specifications provided by the customer and is in working order cannot be returned.
As a battery ages and accumulates more charge and discharge cycles, its actual usable capacity decreases; therefore, when tested with a capacity meter, the nominal capacity may differ from the actual capacity. This is natural battery wear and is not considered a defect or a non-conformity with the technical parameters.
The seller is not obliged to provide another (replacement) battery for temporary use.
Where a manufacturing defect is established (the complaint is accepted), the battery under warranty is replaced with another battery of the same or an equivalent type, provided that the battery was not manufactured to individual order; the replacement battery is covered for the remaining unexpired warranty period (Resolution No. 1496 of the Government of the Republic of Lithuania of 27 November 1995 and amendment No. 787 of 1 July 1996). Otherwise, if the battery was manufactured to individual order, replacement is not possible. The battery is assessed by FabiRide staff and, in the cases provided for in Article 6.3641 of the Civil Code, the defect is remedied where possible.
Conclusions on the quality of the battery issued by vehicle manufacturers, car repair shops, service centres, shops and other establishments not involved in the sale of this battery are not binding on the seller and do not constitute grounds for an immediate decision.
During the warranty period, the seller carries out battery servicing and testing free of charge only if a manufacturing defect is acknowledged. In all other cases, the buyer pays for the services in accordance with the FabiRide service price list in force at the time. The costs of delivering the battery and the vehicle to and from the place of warranty service are borne by the buyer.
The seller accepts no liability whatsoever if the buyer suffers material losses due to a defective battery (e.g. missing a flight, transporting the vehicle to the place of repair, calling out emergency services, late delivery of cargo, etc.).
The Warranty Card must be presented with any complaint. If a valid Warranty Card is not presented, no warranty inspection is carried out and the claim is not satisfied.
After the buyer has been informed of the warranty service findings, the seller/service provider stores the battery free of charge for 5 business days. After that, a storage fee is charged (see Table No. 1). If the battery is not collected within 30 days, it is disposed of.
FabiRide reserves the right to amend the warranty provisions and rules at any time without further notice.
