Talaria Sting tuning
Power, torque and reliability in one package - from QS8 6AWG wiring to a programmed controller and a custom Li-ion battery. We tune in stages, so every watt stays controlled and safe.
Short answer
Talaria Sting tuning is a matched power package, not a single component. Real gains come from controller programming, clean QS8 6AWG power wiring and a battery able to deliver the current. With a Torp TC500 2.X and the stock battery the Sting R reaches ~8 kW, and with a custom 60-72 V pack - a realistic 13.5-18 kW.
The components that actually raise Talaria power
Each step only makes sense when the whole chain - battery, wiring, controller and motor - is matched together.
Controller (MCU)
Torp TC500 2.X plug-and-play with Bluetooth tuning, or eBMX X-9000 V3, SiliXcon and ASI BAC for more powerful builds. We set current limits, throttle response, regen and protections.
QS8 connector and 6AWG wiring
More current needs a proper path. Thicker cables and QS8 connectors cut voltage drop and overheating - no improvisation, no soldered patch joints.
Custom Li-ion battery
60-72 V packs with the right BMS and genuine discharge current. Built in our own workshop, with cells chosen for your power and range target.
Throttle and controls
Domino throttle for a more accurate signal, display and ride-mode settings - so the power is not just big, but predictable.
Cooling and thermal limits
Improved heat transfer away from the controller and motor. We set protection thresholds so a longer ride does not end in a power drop.
Gearing, brakes, suspension
Sprocket selection for speed or torque, brake and suspension review - the whole chassis has to cope with the extra power.
From stock to track level
Choose by goal and budget - each stage is complete and safe on its own.
Figures are approximate and depend on model year, battery discharge capability, wiring and settings. We confirm the exact result once we have assessed your bike.
Sting and Sting R - how the tuning differs
Enduro base
Lighter, off-road focused. The usual route - controller programming and QS8 wiring, then a custom battery.
- Controller programming and ride modes
- QS8 6AWG power wiring harness
- Custom Li-ion battery
Road-legal (L1e-B)
A registrable model with a 60 V system. Tuning is possible, but once the L1e-B limits are exceeded the bike no longer meets L1e-B requirements on public roads.
- Factory limits: 45 km/h, ≤4 kW
- Reversible solutions
- Lighting and electrical wiring
We have known the Talaria platform since day one
The tuning process - transparent from start to finish
Discussing the goal
We find out what you want: off-road torque, top speed, or simply steadier power.
Assessing the bike
We check the battery, wiring, controller and chassis condition - what is realistic and safe to change.
Quote and decision
We propose a stage and the components. We only work to the agreed scope.
Fitting and programming
We fit, program and tune the parameters to your motor and battery.
Testing
We test under load, monitor temperatures and voltage drop, and fine-tune the settings.
Frequently asked questions
How much power does Talaria Sting tuning give?
With a Torp TC500 2.X controller and the stock battery, the Sting R (60 V) reaches about 8 kW. With a stronger or custom 60-72 V battery, 13.5-18 kW is realistic. The final result depends on battery discharge current, wiring and cooling - so we raise power only as far as the whole system safely handles.
Does Talaria Sting tuning void L1e compliance?
Factory L1e-B approval only applies within the set limits (45 km/h, ≤4 kW). Raising power puts the bike outside those limits, so it can no longer be used as an L1e-B vehicle on public roads - check the rules in your own country. Most of our tuning solutions are reversible - the factory configuration can be restored if needed.
Which controller do you recommend for the Talaria Sting?
For most riders, the Torp TC500 2.X - plug-and-play, Bluetooth tuning, up to 25 kW. For more powerful builds we choose the eBMX X-9000 V3 (up to 50 kW) or SiliXcon and ASI BAC, which we program in-house. FabiRide was the first workshop in Lithuania to officially integrate ASI controllers into Talaria bikes.
Why do I need a QS8 connector and 6AWG wiring?
More power means more current. Stock connectors and thinner cables heat up, voltage drops and power is lost. A QS8 connector with 6AWG wiring cuts losses and overheating risk - an essential step before any serious power increase.
Can I keep the stock Talaria Sting battery?
Yes, at Stage 1 the stock battery is fine. But its discharge current limits how much power the controller can really deliver. For steady power through the whole ride, we build custom Li-ion battery packs (60-72 V) with the right BMS.
How much does Talaria Sting tuning cost?
There is no fixed price - it depends on the chosen stage, controller class, battery and the condition of the bike. We send a clear quote before any work and stick to the agreed scope. Our work and the parts we fit are covered by warranty.
Do you work with customers abroad?
Yes. The workshop is in Kaunas, S. Raštikio g. 28, and we ship parts and tuning kits across the EU and worldwide; bikes and components can also be sent in to us for repair and programming. We were among the first in Lithuania to import Talaria directly from the factory, so we have known this platform since its very first batches.
