Electric motorcycle controller programming and tuning

Controller tuning - the software configuration of your e-moto motor controller (MCU): we change phase and battery current, torque, throttle response, speed and acceleration ramp parameters so power and delivery match the bike and the rider. In our Kaunas workshop we program ASI and SiliXcon in-house and build complex custom systems. We also tune Torp and eBMX. Send us your bike or controller from anywhere in the EU.

What can be changed when tuning a controller

A modern e-moto controller (MCU) is not a simple switch but an FOC (field-oriented control) computer governing every motor revolution. By configuring its parameters we set exactly how much current is delivered to the motor and when. That determines acceleration, top speed, heat, range and reliability.

How controller tuning works

The controller sits between your hand and the motor. In real time it calculates how much phase current to send to the motor, following the logic we set. Configuring it changes exactly that logic - not the mechanics. ASI BAC and SiliXcon controllers we program ourselves, so we can pair practically any motor with the controller you choose.

// custom_system_integration

Custom system integration

The hardest and most interesting work starts when the controller is only one element of a larger system. In the FabiRide workshop we assemble, wire and tune full custom systems: motor, controller, battery BMS, display, Domino throttle and QS8 6AWG power wiring into one coherent package.

// in_house_capability

We do this professionally end to end - from a single parameter to a fully custom motor system.

  • Component communication. We tune CAN communication and throttle mapping so every part “speaks” the same language.
  • Displays and telemetry. We integrate and configure displays so you see real speed, power and battery data.
  • Power wiring. QS8 connectors, 6AWG wiring and adapters - a reliable current path for serious power.
  • Protection tuning. Current, voltage and temperature limits matched to your BMS and motor - power without the risk.

The tuning process step by step

We work methodically and safely - every change is verified before the bike ships back.

01 - diagnostics

Read-out and assessment

We connect to the controller, read the current configuration and check what the motor, battery and BMS can handle.

02 - goals

What you want to achieve

Together we decide: more power, a smooth city mode, legal speed or maximum off-road traction.

03 - plan

Safe parameter limits

We calculate safe current, torque and ramp values for your exact components - not blind “maximum numbers”.

04 - apply

Writing the parameters

Using the manufacturer protocol we write the agreed parameters and save the new configuration.

05 - test

Bench and road testing

We measure current, temperature and speed, and verify stability under real conditions.

06 - handover

Fine-tuning and warranty

We fine-tune, provide a report and give a warranty on the work performed.

// price_factors

Pricing and warranty

Honestly: we can only quote precisely once we have assessed your bike, because the price depends on several things. There is no “one size fits all” rate here.

Controller type

Torp, eBMX or SiliXcon - the protocol and workload differ.

Whether hardware is needed

Wiring, QS8 connectors, cooling or extra components.

Scope of integration

A single parameter or a full custom system integration.

Scope

A simple reconfiguration - usually priced by workload

Included in the work: diagnostics, configuration, testing and consultation.

We give a warranty on the work performed. The scope of a custom integration is agreed in advance. Want an exact price for your bike? Get in touch and we will send a quote.

Frequently asked questions

? How is controller tuning different from a simple “chip” or speed unlock?
A chip usually just removes the speed limit. Controller tuning is deep parameter configuration: we control phase current, torque, throttle map, acceleration ramp and protections. The result is not only a faster bike, but one that rides more smoothly, safely and reliably, matched to your style.
? Which controllers do you tune?
We tune and program Torp, eBMX (X-9000 V3), SiliXcon (SL, SC, AM) and ASI (BAC4000, BAC8000) controllers, plus original Sur-Ron (Light Bee X, Ultra Bee, Storm Bee), Talaria (Sting R, MX3, MX4) and Eride Pro units. If you do not know which controller you have - send us photos or the part itself and we will identify it. We were the first workshop in Lithuania to officially integrate ASI controllers into Sur-Ron and Talaria, and we program and adapt SiliXcon controllers from scratch in-house.
? Can Sur-Ron or Talaria power and speed be raised safely?
Yes, but only within the limits of the battery, motor and BMS. Before raising power we assess how much current your components can take and set temperature and voltage protections so the battery and motor are not damaged. That is exactly why this should be done by specialists who see the whole system.
? How much does controller tuning cost?
The price depends on the controller type, the scope of work and whether extra hardware is needed. A simple reconfiguration costs less than a full custom system integration. We quote precisely once we have assessed the bike - call +370 604 15255 and you will get a concrete offer. Tuned parameters and parts are covered by warranty.
? How does the tuning work?
First we read the controller fault codes and check the battery, BMS, wiring harness and throttle signal - tuning makes no sense without a healthy current path. We agree the goal (daily riding, off-road or track) and send a quote. Then we write the parameters to plan: current limits, torque curve, throttle response, regen and thermal protections. We finish with measurements under load and a test ride, and give a warranty.
? Will tuning damage the battery or motor?
No, not when done professionally. We always set safe current, voltage and temperature limits for your components. Power without protections does damage - which is why our priority is power together with reliability, not just the biggest numbers on a screen.
? Do you work with customers outside Lithuania?
Yes. Our workshop is in Kaunas (S. Raštikio g. 28), and we serve riders across the EU and beyond - parts are shipped to your door, and bikes or individual controllers can be sent in for programming. Contact us first to arrange shipping.
