Electric motorcycle controller programming and tuning
Controller tuning - the software configuration of your e-moto motor controller (MCU): we change phase and battery current, torque, throttle response, speed and acceleration ramp parameters so power and delivery match the bike and the rider. In our Kaunas workshop we program ASI and SiliXcon in-house and build complex custom systems. We also tune Torp and eBMX. Send us your bike or controller from anywhere in the EU.

What can be changed when tuning a controller
A modern e-moto controller (MCU) is not a simple switch but an FOC (field-oriented control) computer governing every motor revolution. By configuring its parameters we set exactly how much current is delivered to the motor and when. That determines acceleration, top speed, heat, range and reliability.
| Parameter | What we adjust | What you feel when riding |
|---|---|---|
| Phase current (A) | Peak motor power | Stronger acceleration from zero |
| Battery current (A) | Continuous power and heat | Pull all the way, less overheating |
| Torque curve | Torque delivery across rpm | Smoother or more aggressive pull |
| Throttle response | Throttle → power map | Linear or sharp reaction |
| Speed limiting | Top speed, ride modes | Legal or unlocked speed |
| Acceleration ramp | How fast power builds | Controlled or instant launch |
| Field weakening | Higher rpm range | Higher top speed |
| Regenerative braking | Motor braking, energy recovery | Stronger “engine-braking” effect |
| Temperature limits | Thermal motor protection | Longer reliability under load |
| Low-voltage protection | Battery discharge cut-off | A safer, longer-lasting battery |
How controller tuning works
The controller sits between your hand and the motor. In real time it calculates how much phase current to send to the motor, following the logic we set. Configuring it changes exactly that logic - not the mechanics. ASI BAC and SiliXcon controllers we program ourselves, so we can pair practically any motor with the controller you choose.
Throttle
The Domino throttle sends a voltage signal - your request for acceleration.
MCU controller
The FOC processor converts the signal into precise phase current per the parameters.
Motor
Torque at the wheel - exactly the delivery we configured.
// we connect via the manufacturer protocol: Bluetooth · USB · CAN · PC interface - we read, configure, write and test
Supported controllers: Torp, eBMX, SiliXcon
We work with the most popular and most advanced controllers on the market, as well as original Sur-Ron, Talaria and Eride Pro units. Each has its own configuration protocol and strengths.

- We program them in-house - the first workshop in Lithuania to officially integrate ASI into Sur-Ron and Talaria
Custom system integration
The hardest and most interesting work starts when the controller is only one element of a larger system. In the FabiRide workshop we assemble, wire and tune full custom systems: motor, controller, battery BMS, display, Domino throttle and QS8 6AWG power wiring into one coherent package.
We do this professionally end to end - from a single parameter to a fully custom motor system.
- Component communication. We tune CAN communication and throttle mapping so every part “speaks” the same language.
- Displays and telemetry. We integrate and configure displays so you see real speed, power and battery data.
- Power wiring. QS8 connectors, 6AWG wiring and adapters - a reliable current path for serious power.
- Protection tuning. Current, voltage and temperature limits matched to your BMS and motor - power without the risk.
The tuning process step by step
We work methodically and safely - every change is verified before the bike ships back.
Read-out and assessment
We connect to the controller, read the current configuration and check what the motor, battery and BMS can handle.
What you want to achieve
Together we decide: more power, a smooth city mode, legal speed or maximum off-road traction.
Safe parameter limits
We calculate safe current, torque and ramp values for your exact components - not blind “maximum numbers”.
Writing the parameters
Using the manufacturer protocol we write the agreed parameters and save the new configuration.
Bench and road testing
We measure current, temperature and speed, and verify stability under real conditions.
Fine-tuning and warranty
We fine-tune, provide a report and give a warranty on the work performed.
Pricing and warranty
Honestly: we can only quote precisely once we have assessed your bike, because the price depends on several things. There is no “one size fits all” rate here.
Controller type
Torp, eBMX or SiliXcon - the protocol and workload differ.
Whether hardware is needed
Wiring, QS8 connectors, cooling or extra components.
Scope of integration
A single parameter or a full custom system integration.
Scope
A simple reconfiguration - usually priced by workload
