01 - Service

We pinpoint the fault and replace only what has failed, not the whole pack

EV battery repair calls for a solid grasp of high-voltage systems, precise diagnostics and safe work with hundreds of volts. At the FabiRide workshop in Kaunas we specialise in the diagnostics and repair of EV and hybrid traction packs - instead of an expensive full pack replacement we find the exact cause of the fault and replace only the damaged components.

Failed cells, damaged modules, imbalance or a faulty BMS usually show up as reduced range, error messages or a sudden loss of power. A professional EV battery repair, where one module or a group of cells has dropped out while the rest of the pack is healthy, safely extends the life of the battery for less than a complete new pack. If the battery is simply worn out and range is falling with age, partial cell replacement will not solve the problem - in that case we recommend a new or rebuilt pack after diagnostics.

Every cell is checked individually

High-voltage battery repair starts with stripping the pack down to modules and measuring the voltage and internal resistance of every cell - so the fault is located precisely, with no guesswork.

02 - What we do

High-voltage battery repair work

From precise diagnostics to component replacement and final testing - the full EV battery repair cycle is carried out under one roof in our Kaunas workshop.

01

High-voltage battery diagnostics

Cell voltage and internal resistance measurement, insulation testing, BMS fault code readout and assessment of remaining capacity.

02

Module replacement

Replacement of damaged battery modules with parameter-matched modules, so the whole pack works evenly and reliably.

03

Cell replacement

Replacement of individual damaged or failed cells when the rest of the pack is healthy - using cells matched by capacity and internal resistance, without replacing the whole pack.

04

Balancing

Levelling cell voltages across the whole pack, so the battery charges fully and delivers energy evenly.

05

BMS diagnostics and repair

Testing, repair and parameter recovery of the battery management system (BMS) after components have been replaced.

06

Enclosure sealing

Restoring the sealing of the battery enclosure, its connectors and thermal management after repair - protection against moisture and overheating.

03 - How we work

From diagnostics to a tested pack

Stage 01

Consultation and intake

We go through the symptoms, range, error messages and battery model - building a first picture of the fault.

Stage 02

Safe disassembly

Following high-voltage safety procedures, we disconnect the pack and strip it down to its modules.

Stage 03

Diagnostics

We read the voltage and internal resistance of every cell, check insulation, connections and the BMS, and establish the exact cause.

Stage 04

Repair

We replace damaged modules and cells, balance the pack and recover the BMS using matched components.

Stage 05

Testing

We run charge and discharge cycles, monitoring voltages and temperature to confirm the pack is stable.

Stage 06

Reassembly and return

We seal the enclosure, carry out a final inspection and return the pack with a description of the work done.

04 - In the workshop

Working with high-voltage packs

Precise measurement, a tidy bench and safe handling of high voltage - that is what EV battery repair looks like in the FabiRide workshop.

05 - Why FabiRide

Dependable EV battery repair from our Kaunas workshop

Safe work with high voltage. High-voltage procedures and proper equipment throughout the repair.

Precise diagnostics. We repair against a confirmed cause, not a guess.

We replace only what is damaged. So the repair costs less than a complete new battery pack.

Matched components. Modules and cells are selected so the pack works evenly after repair.

A transparent process. We explain the fault, the work and the result of what was done.

06 - FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Is it worth repairing an EV battery, or is a whole new pack better?

It depends on the diagnostics. A new EV battery pack is expensive, while in practice it is often only a few cells or a single module that have dropped out, with the rest of the battery healthy - in that case a local repair pays off. During diagnostics we establish whether local module and cell replacement plus balancing is enough, or whether the battery is simply worn out - in the latter case it is more honest to offer a new or rebuilt pack rather than a partial repair.

What are the most common EV and hybrid battery faults?

The most common are damaged or failed cells, cell imbalance, a faulty BMS board, corrosion in the connectors and thermal management problems. These faults show up as reduced range, error messages, slow charging or a sudden drop in power.

Can only a few cells or a single module be replaced?

Yes. We replace individual cells and modules, selecting the new components by capacity and internal resistance so they match the rest of the pack. After replacement we balance the battery so all cells work evenly.

What is a BMS and can it be repaired?

The BMS (battery management system) controls cell voltages, temperature and charging, and protects the battery from overload. We carry out BMS diagnostics, repair and parameter recovery - which often avoids replacing the whole pack.

How is high-voltage battery diagnostics carried out?

We safely strip the pack down, read the voltage and internal resistance of every cell, check insulation, connections and BMS fault codes, and assess the remaining capacity. Based on the results we state the exact cause of the fault and the work required.

Where is the repair carried out, and do you take packs sent in from abroad?

We work in the FabiRide workshop in Kaunas and take in packs sent to us from across the EU. Send the pack in - after diagnostics we agree the work to be done and the return shipment.
