SurRon app: what you can control from your phone
Riders look for a SurRon app for three reasons: to see what the bike is doing, to change how it rides, and to keep a record. SurRon publishes an app of its own. FabiRide Dash Pro adds a display and the free My FabiRide app that put limits, modes, riders and ride history in your hands, on a stock Light Bee X too.
The short answer
A phone on its own cannot change how a stock Light Bee X rides, because the factory controller cannot be reprogrammed. What changes the ride is a display that reads the controller and sits between your controls and the motor. FabiRide Dash Pro is that display, and My FabiRide is its app: free on iPhone and Android, with the same account on the web.
With the two together you watch the bike live, set a speed or power limit and lift it again, switch riding modes, invite other riders with their own limits, replay every ride, and receive updates that add features over time.
What the My FabiRide app does
Setup takes minutes: create an account, connect the display, register it to you and pick your controller. After that the app is where everything that is not riding happens: tuning, limits, riders, history and updates.
While riding you never need the phone. The display shows the live numbers, the three bar buttons switch modes and limits, and the ride records itself with its full route even with the phone screen locked.

Share the bike, keep the limits
Invite a rider from the app and start them on a preset made for them. They get the ride; you keep the limits, see their trips, and take the bike back any time.
Limits live on the bike, not on the phone. Switching the phone off, going offline, reinstalling the app or borrowing a friend’s phone changes nothing. You decide whether a rider may change limits at all.

Questions riders ask
Is there an official SurRon app?
Yes. SurRon publishes its own app, described on its site as covering vehicle information, positioning, after sales service and a rider community. Riding controls such as speed limits, riding modes and per rider settings on a Light Bee X come from a display that reads the controller, which is what FabiRide Dash Pro adds.
Can I limit a SurRon from my phone?
Yes, with FabiRide Dash Pro fitted. Set any speed or power limit in the My FabiRide app or from the bars, and lift it again the same way. It works on the stock Light Bee X controller with nothing modified.
Does the limit stay if the phone is off?
Yes. Limits are enforced on the bike itself. The phone is only where you change them, so an offline, switched off or replaced phone does not lift anything.
Does the app work with Talaria too?
Yes. The same display and app work on the stock Talaria Sting controller and on 11 controller families in total, including Torp and ASI upgrades.
Is the app free?
Yes. My FabiRide is free on iPhone and Android, and the same account works on the web. Updates arrive over the air at no cost.
Does it record rides without the phone in my hand?
Yes. Rides are recorded automatically with the full GPS route, even with the phone screen locked, and appear in your history afterwards.
Can I use it on a bike I share with my child?
Yes. Invite them as a rider, give them their own speed and power limits, and decide whether they may change anything. Their trips appear in the history, and you take the bike back with one press.
