Battery repair- lithium battery diagnostics, faulty cell group replacement and BMS repair
In the FabiRide workshop in Kaunas we carry out professional battery repair - from precise diagnostics to replacing a failed cell group when the rest of the pack is still healthy. We repair battery packs for e-bikes, e-scooters and electric motorcycles (Sur-Ron, Talaria) and fix BMS boards; if a pack is simply worn out, we recommend a new or rebuilt battery instead.
What battery repair covers
Everything starts with precise diagnostics: when only one cell group has failed and the rest of the pack is healthy, we replace it; when the pack is worn out, we offer a new or rebuilt battery. These are the jobs we carry out in the FabiRide workshop in Kaunas.
Battery diagnostics
A full pack inspection: cell group voltage balance, internal resistance, BMS status and real capacity measurement. Before any repair we identify the exact cause of the fault and set out a plan.
Cell group replacement
When one cell group fails while the rest of the pack is still healthy, we replace exactly that faulty group with matched lithium cells (18650, 21700 and other formats), rebuild the connections by spot welding and balance the whole pack so the load is shared evenly.
BMS repair
We repair and replace battery management systems (BMS): protection trips, charging faults and communication errors in cases where the pack will not switch on, will not charge or shuts down suddenly.
New or rebuilt battery
When range drops because the whole pack has aged, partial cell replacement will not solve it. In that case the honest answer is a new or rebuilt battery. FabiRide designs and builds custom lithium packs, so we can offer a suitable replacement battery.
Casing and connectors
We repair damaged casings, connectors and wiring, and make sure the pack is sealed and neatly assembled so that after the repair it is protected from moisture and vibration.
Testing and assembly
After the repair we run a charge-discharge test and check the protections and temperature under load. We only return a pack once we are satisfied that it works stably and safely.
How a battery repair works
Every pack follows the same clear path - from arrival to a tested, safe result.

Why trust us with your pack
Lithium battery repair demands precision and responsibility. These are the principles we apply to every pack.
Safety - the first priority
Lithium batteries do not forgive mistakes. We work carefully, weld the connections cleanly and test every pack before it goes back.
Precise diagnostics
We never guess at a fault. We measure cell group voltages, internal resistance and BMS parameters - only then do we propose a repair solution.
Quality lithium cells
We use cells from trusted manufacturers and proper spot welding - not temporary patches, but a lasting, tidy solution.
We solve BMS faults
We repair and replace battery management boards in cases where the pack will not switch on, will not charge or shuts down suddenly.
We stand behind our work
We provide a warranty on every battery repair and only send a pack back once we are satisfied that it works safely.

FAQ about battery repair
Answers to the most common questions about lithium battery diagnostics, cell group replacement and new or rebuilt batteries.
01Is it worth repairing a battery, or better to buy a new one?
02Which batteries do you repair?
03When is a cell group replacement right, and when a new battery?
04My battery will not switch on or charge - can you fix it?
05How do I send my battery in for repair?
06Is a repaired battery safe to use?
Send your battery in for diagnostics
Describe the fault and give us the battery model - we will assess whether a repair is worthwhile and explain the next steps. We work from our Kaunas workshop and accept packs from across the EU.
