// Short answer

Sur-Ron electronics repair - finding and fixing faults in an electric motorcycle’s electrical and control system: the controller (stock or Torp, eBMX, SiliXcon), controller tuning, the harness and QS8 connectors, the Domino throttle, the dashboard, ignition and moisture damage. In the FabiRide workshop in Kaunas we run full diagnostics with error code readout, send a quote before any work and back it with a warranty. We were the first workshop in Lithuania to officially integrate ASI into Sur-Ron and Talaria, and we program in-house both ASI and SiliXcon controllers.

What we diagnose and repair

The whole Sur-Ron electrical system - in one place

From power cut-outs and error codes to overheated connectors after a water crossing. Every fault starts with finding the real cause, not swapping parts blind.

01

Controllers

Stock and Torp / eBMX / SiliXcon controllers: fault finding, burnt MOSFETs and overheating issues solved, replacement.

02

Controller tuning

We configure motor controllers (MCU): current limits, response, protections and ride modes. ASI and SiliXcon we program in-house.

03

Harness and QS8

We build and repair 6AWG power harnesses, replace QS8 connectors and fix overheated or melted contacts.

04

Domino throttle

We diagnose and replace the throttle, check and calibrate the Hall signal and trace broken wires.

05

Display / dashboard

We repair dead or flickering dashboards, restore readouts and read out error codes.

06

Ignition switch and power

We solve ignition, key and power line faults when the bike will not switch on or loses voltage.

07

Connectors and contacts

We replace oxidised and melted connectors, refresh ground lines and high-current contacts.

08

Water damage

After rain or a water crossing: strip-down, drying, corrosion removal and waterproofing of contacts.

09

Error code diagnostics

We read and interpret error codes to find the real cause - not just the symptom.

How the repair works

Diagnostic protocol - 6 steps

A clear process from intake to warranty. Before any repair you see a quote - you pay only for approved work.

01 · INTAKE

Fault description

We record the symptoms, riding history and the conditions in which the fault appears.

02 · SCAN

Error code readout

We read dashboard and controller error codes and log the state of the system.

03 · TEST

Circuit testing

With a multimeter and under load we check power lines, connectors, Hall sensors and the throttle.

04 · DIAGNOSIS

Findings and quote

We establish the real cause and send you a transparent quote.

05 · REPAIR

Repair and tuning

We replace parts, rebuild the harness, and repair or tune the controller / MCU.

06 · QUALITY

Testing and warranty

We test the system under load, do a test ride and back the work with a warranty.

The most common Sur-Ron electronics faults and their fixes

This table helps you work out faster what your symptom means. The exact diagnosis is still made on the bench - many faults have several possible causes.

Controller repair and tuning

The controller is the core of the Sur-Ron electrical system - it governs motor current, response and protections. We work with stock controllers and the most popular aftermarket options: Torp, eBMX and SiliXcon. We find burnt components, solve overheating and current limiting problems, and integrate and match new controllers to the bike.

ASI and SiliXcon controllers we program in-house, and Torp and eBMX we tune. We set current limits, throttle response, regen and protections to suit your riding style and what the motor can take. That lets you safely use the potential of a Light Bee X, Ultra Bee or Storm Bee.

Harness, QS8 connectors and power supply

The high-current circuit is the most common cause of “disappearing power”. An overheated or badly crimped QS8 connector, thin wire or oxidised contact causes voltage drop and trips the protections. We build and replace 6AWG power harnesses and fit quality QS8 connectors and adapters (e.g. QS8-Talaria Sting).

We also solve ground line, ignition, switch and signal wiring faults. Every connection is tested under load so the problem does not come back after the first hard ride.

  • Restoration of overheated and melted contacts

Domino throttle, display and ignition

If the bike does not respond to the throttle, sticks or runs unevenly, the usual culprit is the throttle or its Hall signal. We diagnose and replace throttles (including Domino), check for broken wires and the signal, and calibrate the limits.

We also repair the dashboard: a dead or flickering display, lost readouts, error code display. We solve ignition and switch faults when voltage disappears or the bike will not switch on.

Frequently asked questions

Sur-Ron electronics repair - FAQ

How much does Sur-Ron electronics repair cost?
The price depends on how complex the fault is, the parts needed and the amount of work, so we start with diagnostics. Once we have the real cause, we send a clear quote - we only continue once you approve it. For a ballpark figure call +370 604 15255.
How does the repair process work?
You describe the symptoms and ship us the bike or just the faulty part. Basic diagnostics is limited in scope. Parts replacement and more complex repairs depend on component availability - we confirm the exact scope together with the quote.
Can you recover a Sur-Ron after water or a river crossing?
Usually yes. We strip the bike down, dry it, remove corrosion, restore contacts and connectors and waterproof them. The result depends on how bad the damage is - the sooner you send it to us, the better the chance of saving the electronics.
Do you tune Sur-Ron controllers and MCUs?
Yes. We program and adapt ASI and SiliXcon controllers in-house - very few workshops do. We also work with Torp and eBMX. We set current limits, response and protections to suit your bike and riding style. In Sur-Ron electronics we were among the pioneers in Lithuania, and ASI controllers we integrated into Sur-Ron first in Lithuania and officially; SiliXcon we program ourselves.
Do you give a warranty on the repair?
Yes, we provide a warranty on the work carried out and the parts fitted. The exact scope depends on the type of job and the parts - we state it in the quote and the intake paperwork.
Do you repair Talaria, Eride Pro and other e-motorcycles?
Yes. Besides Sur-Ron we work with Talaria (Sting / Sting R), Eride Pro and e-bikes. We do both electronics repair and custom harness and battery pack building.
Do you accept bikes from other countries?
Yes. The workshop is in Kaunas (S. Raštikio g. 28), but we serve customers across the EU and beyond - you can ship the bike or just the faulty part to us. Please call +370 604 15255 before sending anything.
