Sur-Ron Ultra Bee tuning
Unlock the full potential of the 74 V platform - more torque from zero, steadier power at speed and healthy thermals. In the FabiRide workshop in Kaunas we tune the Ultra Bee in stages and we program in-house both ASI and SiliXcon controllers.
What Ultra Bee tuning means and why the 74 V platform matters
The Sur-Ron Ultra Bee is the bigger, more powerful sibling of the Light Bee, built on a 74 V (20S) architecture. The extra voltage headroom lets you make the same power with less current, which means less heat in the wiring, connectors and controller.
Sur-Ron Ultra Bee tuning - raising power and torque on the 74 V platform within safe limits: re-tuning or replacing the controller (MCU), improved cooling, throttle and display settings, gearing (sprocket) choice and heavier-duty power wiring. In the FabiRide workshop in Kaunas we tune the Ultra Bee in stages - from a software unlock to a full stage build with a custom battery. Order the parts and we ship, or send the bike in to us.
Less heat, more power
Higher 74 V voltage means less current for the same output - the system runs cooler and holds full power longer under heavy load.
Torque from zero
With the controller and battery matched correctly, the Ultra Bee delivers noticeably more drive at low rpm - you feel it on hills, in mud and off the line.
All within safe limits
We raise power only as far as the thermal limits of the cells, wiring and controller allow. No blind current cranking that shortens component life.
What can be done - from a software unlock to a full build
We work in stages so every euro invested gives a real result and the bike stays reliable. We start with diagnostics, then software, then hardware, and only then the full stage build.

We do not publish fixed kW figures after tuning, because power depends on battery discharge, controller and cooling. We tune it precisely so the bike stays reliable.
What a proper Ultra Bee tune is made of
Power does not come from one magic component, but from a matched whole: controller, battery, wiring, cooling and gearing.

Controller and controller tuning
The core of the whole tune. We can re-tune the factory Ultra Bee controller for higher phase currents, or replace it with something stronger - Torp, eBMX or SiliXcon solutions. FabiRide builds custom systems in-house and tunes the most advanced motor controllers on the market.
- Current and torque maps built around your goal
- Smooth, predictable throttle response
- Thermal protections so components stay safe

Custom battery and cooling
Real extra power needs a battery that delivers higher current without a big voltage sag. We build custom high-discharge Li-ion batteries and improve controller and motor cooling so the power stays there under sustained load.
- High-discharge (high-C) cells, a solid BMS
- Less voltage sag → steadier power
- Better heat removal from the controller

Power wiring (QS8 6AWG)
Higher current has to travel somewhere. Standard connectors and thinner wires become the bottleneck and heat up. We fit a QS8 6AWG power harness that carries high current safely with minimal losses.
- Thicker 6AWG cable, reliable QS8 connectors
- Less heating and voltage drop
- Tidy, service-friendly assembly

Throttle, display and gearing
Controlling the power matters as much as the power itself. We fit a quality Domino throttle, configure the display and riding modes, and choose the sprockets (gearing) to suit whether you want a harder launch or a higher top speed.
- More precise, more solid throttle feel
- Modes and display matched to the new power
- Gearing for enduro, mud or speed
How power and torque grow stage by stage
Illustrative relative gains - each stage adds power and drive. Real numbers depend on the components and are tuned within safe limits.
Warranty and what the quote depends on
We work transparently: diagnostics and a quote first, then the work, testing and handover. No surprise charges.
How it works
Diagnostics and a quote first, then the work and testing. Fuller stage builds depend on the parts and the scope.
Warranty
We warranty the work we carry out and the components we fit. We build it to be reliable.
What is included
Diagnostics, configuration, installation and testing before it goes back to you. We explain clearly what was done.
What the quote depends on
On the stage, the controller, the battery and the condition of the bike. That is why the quote depends on the scope - we prepare a specific offer.
Kaunas workshop, controller programming in-house
We are not a warehouse reseller - we work in a real workshop in Kaunas and ship parts across the EU and worldwide.
First with ASI
We were the first workshop in Lithuania to officially integrate ASI into Sur-Ron and Talaria, and we import Talaria directly from the factory.

Workshop in Kaunas, S. Raštikio g. 28. We ship parts internationally and take in Sur-Ron, Talaria, Eride Pro and other e-motorcycles by mail.
Frequently asked questions
Can a Sur-Ron Ultra Bee be tuned safely without losing reliability?
Yes. The Ultra Bee 74 V platform has voltage headroom, so power can be raised sensibly without overheating the system. We increase current and torque only within the limits allowed by the battery cells, wiring and the thermal capability of the controller. That is exactly why we fit heavier-duty QS8 6AWG wiring and improve cooling - so the extra power does not cost you component life. We were among the first in Lithuania to develop Sur-Ron power upgrades, and we fully program SiliXcon and officially integrate ASI controllers.
What does Ultra Bee tuning cost?
We cannot give a fixed figure, because it depends on the chosen stage (software unlock, hardware stage 2 or a full stage 3 build), the controller, the battery and the condition of the bike. A software unlock is the least involved, a full build with a custom battery the most. Once diagnostics are done we prepare a specific offer. Call +370 604 15255 or email us for a quote.
Does the controller need replacing, or is re-tuning the factory MCU enough?
It depends on your goal. In most cases the factory Ultra Bee controller can be re-tuned (reprogrammed) for a noticeable gain without replacing it. If you want maximum power, we fit a stronger controller - Torp, eBMX or SiliXcon. FabiRide programs ASI and SiliXcon controllers in-house, so we can pick the optimal option for your budget.
How much power and torque can you get out of the 74 V platform?
Factory Ultra Bee peak power is around 12.5 kW. After tuning, the gain depends on battery discharge, controller and cooling - which is why we do not publish one magic kW number. In practice the biggest change you feel is torque from zero and steadier power at speed. We tune it so the gain is real and the bike stays reliable.
Is tuning reversible - can the bike be returned to factory state?
The software unlock (stage 1) is reversible - we can restore the factory settings. Hardware changes (different controller, battery, wiring) are partly reversible: the factory parts can be refitted if they have been kept. Before any work we always agree what you want to keep reversible.
How does the work run and do you give a warranty?
The scope of a software unlock or a stage build is agreed after diagnostics. Fuller stage work with component installation and a custom battery depends on parts availability and scope - we assess the exact scope after diagnostics. We warranty the work carried out and the components fitted.
Do you work with customers outside Lithuania?
Yes. The workshop is in Kaunas, S. Raštikio g. 28, but we ship parts across the EU and worldwide, and customers send bikes and components in to us by courier - for Sur-Ron Ultra Bee and Light Bee as well as Talaria, Eride Pro and other e-motorcycles. Get in touch first and we will arrange the details.
