The EBMX X-9000 V3 is a complete electric motorcycle motor controller kit built on the VESC platform with FOC (Field Oriented Control) motor management. It replaces the factory controller on the Sur-Ron Light Bee and Ultra Bee, as well as Talaria MX3, MX4 (Sting R) and MX5, plus the E Ride Pro SS 2.0, SS 3.0 and SR. Peak output reaches 50 kW, backed by an IP67 rating for real trail conditions.
Phase current is rated at 1000 A continuous and 1600 A peak. The controller runs on 48-110 V, with a maximum of 120 V, and supports Li-Ion packs up to 26S. That covers stock batteries as well as high-voltage builds. Every parameter is adjustable in real time through the X-Series App over Bluetooth.
This kit is aimed at riders who have outgrown the stock power delivery. Therefore it suits track days, closed circuits and off-road trail riding rather than stock-class use. Note that the V3 release carries revised logic and revised cooling. The V2 wiring harness is not compatible with a V3 controller, although V2 heatsinks do fit the V3 unit.
Key Benefits
- Up to 50 kW output – delivers torque and top speed well beyond what the factory Sur-Ron Light Bee X controller produces.
- 1600 A peak phase current – instant response from zero rpm during standing starts.
- VESC platform with FOC control – quiet motor operation with efficient current delivery.
- Integrated IMU sensor – enables front wheel lift control, anti-loop protection and dedicated stunt modes.
- 30× Infineon MOSFETs – a power stage engineered around the 1000 A continuous phase current rating.
- IP67 protection rating – operating temperature spans -25 °C to +80 °C for wet and dusty riding.
- Dual signal input – a safer throttle connection and more precise control resolution.
- Fully CNC-machined housing – swappable heatsinks in black, red, white and blue (sold separately).
Who Is This For?
The X-9000 V3 fits the Sur-Ron Light Bee and Sur-Ron Ultra Bee in OEM, KO RS and KO F Spec configurations. Talaria owners are covered as well, specifically the Talaria MX3, Talaria MX4 (Sting R) and Talaria MX5 in OEM and KO F Spec builds. From the E Ride Pro family, the supported models are the SS 2.0, SS 3.0 and SR.
On the motor side, the controller works with EBMX XLB-60, XTA-60 and XUB-80 units. It also drives the QS138 90H and QS138 70H. As a result, a single controller covers both stock drivetrains and heavily modified swaps.
More than 30 motor profiles ship preloaded in memory, so commissioning does not start from a blank tune. Six ride modes are configurable across Race and Street groups. Because this is an aftermarket power upgrade that lifts output past factory limits, it is intended for closed circuits and off-road use.

Why Choose the X-9000 V3
The jump from 26S support and 120 V maximum voltage to a 1600 A peak phase current is what separates this unit from a stock controller. Furthermore, the 30-MOSFET power stage is sized for sustained 1000 A phase current rather than short bursts. Riders running QS138 90H swaps get a controller that already knows the motor.
Tuning happens on the bike, not on a bench. The X-Series App pairs over Bluetooth and edits throttle curves, regeneration strength and all six ride modes. Meanwhile the integrated IMU adds a layer stock electronics simply do not have, managing front wheel lift and anti-loop behaviour.
Firmware arrives over the air, so the controller keeps gaining features after installation. Additionally, the CNC housing accepts swappable heatsinks and an optional liquid cooling setup for longer motos.
