SpeedBox 1.1 for Bosch allows you to remove the speed limiter of your electric bike.
If you want to see the correct speed and all the driving data on the go, we recommend SpeedBox 1.1 Bluetooth Tuning for Bosch – you can see the real speed in the SpeedBox app – right on your phone screen.
How does SpeedBox 1.1 for Bosch work?
To correctly activate all SpeedBox functions, after the first e-bike activation after tuning installation, you must enter the menu and switch to the perimeter of the wheel of your e-bike.
Activate/deactivate the chip before riding (when the e-bike is stationary), not while riding!
“The SpeedBox 1.1 chip can be activated directly in the control unit of your e-bike by briefly activating the WALK assist function (by holding down the “-” button). Your e-bike display will show a value of 3.5 km/h (2.2 mph) and you will now be able to ride up to 35 km/h. You can change the default speed limit to any desired limit (up to 99 km/h), but to reduce the risk of error codes, we recommend that you do not exceed 35 km/h.
To switch off the chip, briefly re-enable the WALK assist function (by holding down the “-” button). Your e-bike display will show a value of 2.5 km/h (1.6 mph) and the speed limit will be reset to 25 km/h. Your e-bike will then operate in the same way as it did before the tune-up.
“The SpeedBox has also been developed for electric bicycles without WALK assist functions. In this case, you can turn the tuning on/off by switching between the two assist modes twice, i.e. by pressing the – + – + buttons.
You can set the maximum speed limit by switching modes from TURBO mode three levels down and then three levels up: eMTB – TOUR+ – ECO – TOUR+ – eMTB – TURBO. The actual speed limit will then be displayed. The maximum speed of the electric assistance can be switched by briefly activating/deactivating the WALK assist function or by turning the rear wheel 360°. The displayed value of 2.5 km/h corresponds to a limit of 25 km/h, 3.0 to 30 km/h, 3.5 to 35 km/h, etc. The last displayed limit will be stored after 15 seconds of inactivity.
When you have finished riding, leave the bike on until 0.0 km/h is displayed. During this process, the remaining time will be displayed. You can then safely switch the bike off. Do not remove the display to lock the e-bike until the SpeedBox has completed the “countdown” process.
Assembly
We use original connectors to manufacture SpeedBox products, ensuring a simple assembly process and proper connection of the SpeedBox.
If you plan to install SpeedBox on a brand new bike, make sure you have ridden it at least 10 km before the chip is activated.
Important
Connect the male and female connectors in the direction of locking. Do not twist the connectors during connection!

Warning
Please note that the use of this type of modified electric bicycle on public roads may be against the law in some countries. The manufacturer and the seller accept no liability for damage caused by the use of SpeedBox products. “Use of SpeedBox may void your ebike warranty.
We recommend that you do not update the software on your electric bike. Updating increases the risk of debug detection.
After a short stop, we recommend keeping one foot on the pedal to keep you going smoothly, to avoid starting a countdown.
If you stop for a longer period of time, allow at least a partial countdown to take place.
After a long drive, the countdown can take several minutes.
Do not remove the display if the countdown has not finished.
Activate/deactivate the chip before riding (when the e-bike is stationary), not while riding.
We recommend that you do not exceed a speed of 35 km/h.
