Magura brake disc Ø203 mm – Dovetail Interlink Technology, e-bike ready
Optimised for electric vehicles, but perfect for regular bikes too. The patented Dovetail Interlink Technology (a “swallow tail” connection between the outer and inner rings) increases stiffness, improves heat management and ensures stable braking even under heavy loads and during long descents. The Ø203 mm diameter provides increased braking torque and precise modulation on E-MTB, S-Pedelec, enduro and urban platforms.
Why choose
- Patented Dovetail design: less vibration and rotor “pumping”, smoother clamping.
- High heat resistance: less fading, longer pad and disc life.
- For e-platforms: reliable braking for higher masses/speeds; also suitable for classic MTB/gravel/city bikes.
- Larger diameter = more power: better control with loads and on long descents.
Compatibility
- Diameter: Ø203 mm
- Fixing: 6-bolt (IS) version (check your hub)
- Pavers: compatible with organic, semi-metallic and metallic (choose according to conditions)
- Use: E-MTB, S-Pedelec, enduro, trail, city, SurRon, Talaria, as well as e-moto conversions if the clamp/adapters are suitable for 203 mm rotor
Specifications
- Material: high quality steel, wear and temperature resistant
- Technology: Dovetail Interlink Technology
- Weight: depends on version
- Included: rotor Ø203 mm
Benefits in real driving
- Shorter stopping distances and more precise modulation.
- More stable performance on long descents and in the city with frequent stops.
- Less noise and vibrations when braking aggressively.
Installation tips
- Make sure the fork/frame/spring is compatible with 203 mm.
- Tighten the rotor bolts crosswise with a thread locker (medium strength) according to the Nm recommendations.
- Bed-in cultivation – 20-30 medium stops until the surfaces are aligned.
FAQ
Is it suitable for a regular bike?
Yes – although optimised for e-transport, it also works well on classic MTB/gravel/city bikes.
Do you need adapters?
If your cradle is designed for a different disc diameter or mounting, you will need an adaptor.
