BMS bypass kit for the Talaria Sting battery, designed to bypass the BMS discharge circuit and supply power to the controller directly through the high current line, allowing a higher instantaneous power output. Charging is normally left through the BMS, thus maintaining balancing and charging protection.
Important: Bypass removes some of the BMS discharge protections (overcurrent, short circuit) and is therefore only recommended for sport/off-road, experienced users. Use a fuse and quality connectors.
Key benefits
- Reduced voltage drop during high load
- More instantaneous power and better traction
- Plug-and-play installation (based on Talaria Sting battery version)
- Maintain loading via BMS – cell balancing continues
Compatibility
- Model: Talaria Sting (MX3/MX4/MX5) with OEM or plug-and-play battery
- Controllers: OEM and performance (BAC, KO, EBMX, Nucular, etc.) for higher current requirements
- Connectors: according to the selected configuration (e.g. QS8 / OEM)
Safety notes
-
Bypass voids the manufacturer’s warranty and safety features during discharge.
-
Always use a fuse of the appropriate class.
-
Monitor temperatures (wires, connectors, battery) during heavy driving.
FAQ
Can I still charge the battery normally?
Yes – charging should be via the BMS (balancing and charge protection remain).
Does the bypass increase mileage?
Not directly. It bypasses the BMS and improves power delivery; mileage depends on Wh-capacity.
Is it safe for everyday use?
Recommended for sport/off-road use only. For everyday use it is safer to use an OEM chain with BMS.
