Smart 3rd generation chip with e-bike speed limit
“The SpeedBox 3.0 chipset allows you to select the speed limit of your choice. With SpeedBox installed, your e-bike’s display will show real data such as maximum and average speed, daily mileage.
How does SpeedBox 3.0 work?
The chip set can be activated directly on your bike’s display. Quickly activate SpeedBox 3.0 by pressing the WALK assist function. The display will show a value of 9.9 km/h (6.2 mph) and you will now be able to ride at 40 km/h (40 mph), 50 km/h (50 mph) and even more than 60 km/h (60 mph).
To disable the chip – re-enable the WALK assist function. The display will show 2.5 km/h (1.6 mph) and the speed limit will be reset to 25 km/h. Your e-bike will then operate in the same way as it did before the chip was installed.
“The SpeedBox has also been developed for e-bikes that do not have a classic control unit with WALK assist function. In this case you can simply use the combination of the – + – + buttons and the SpeedBox will be activated. You can also easily deactivate the SpeedBox.
You can set the maximum speed of the electric assist by changing the modes Turbo – EMTB – Tour – Eco – Tour – EMTB – Turbo. The actual speed limit will then be displayed. The maximum speed of the electric assist can be switched by briefly activating the WALK assist function or by turning the rear wheel 360°. The display shows a value of 1.5 km/h corresponding to a limit of 15 km/h, 2 km/h corresponding to a limit of 20 km/h, 2.5 corresponding to 25 km/h, 3.0 corresponding to 30 km/h, 9.9 corresponding to 99 km/h and so on. The last displayed limit will be stored after 5 seconds of inactivity.
For SpeedBox 3.0 with 4th generation Bosch motors (manufactured in 2020 or later), the bike must be left on after the ride is finished until 0.0 km/h is displayed. During this process, the time remaining will be displayed in minutes. You can then safely switch the bike off.

“The SpeedBox App is an app specifically designed for SpeedBox 3.0 B.Tuning that uses Bluetooth technology to connect your e-bike to your mobile app. After downloading the app and connecting your mobile phone to your e-bike, you will see the current data and trip parameters on your phone. Individual journeys can be stored so you can compare results with friends and track your activity together. So just enjoy the ride and leave the checking of parameters for later!

When connecting the SpeedBox to your e-bike, you will find colour-coded connectors to make installation very easy. We’ve prepared detailed instructions and videos to make installation easier for you.
If you plan to install SpeedBox on a brand new bike, make sure you have ridden it at least 10 km before the chip is activated.

We do not recommend updating the e-bike software
If you are updating your e-bike’s firmware, first remove the SpeedBox from the e-bike, update the firmware and reinstall the SpeedBox.
