How does SpeedBox 1.3 work?
Operation is via the LIGHT button:
- Lights off → SpeedBox active (limiter cancelled).
- Lights on → SpeedBox not active (factory limiter is working).

- Legal use: in most countries, the removal of the speed limiter is only allowed on non-public roads (e.g. off-road, private tracks). Check local legislation before using in public traffic.
- Warranty: the terms of the factory bike/motor warranty may no longer apply.
- Safety: increased speeds require proper brakes, tyres and driving skills.

Will it show the correct speed above 23 km/h?
Standard version 1.3 – up to ~23 km/h. For full speed and statistics, choose 1.3 B.Tuning with app.
Can I switch off quickly?
Yes – with the LIGHT button. When the lights are switched on, the system returns to OEM mode.
Is my EP8 with E-Tube suitable?
Yes, if you have an EP8 and a free E-Tube port. If you are not sure, please get in touch and we will help you check.
Assembly
When connecting the SpeedBox to your e-bike, you will find colour-coded connectors to make installation very easy. We’ve prepared detailed instructions and videos to make installation easier for you.
If you plan to install SpeedBox on a brand new bike, make sure you have ridden it at least 10 km before the chip is activated.

We do not recommend updating the e-bike software
If you are updating your e-bike’s firmware, first remove the SpeedBox from the e-bike, update the firmware and reinstall the SpeedBox.
