Smart ANT BMS is an intelligent battery management system with active balancing for 17S-24S (≈61-100.8 V Li-ion; ≈54.4-76.8 V LiFePO₄) packages. Provides discharge, overload and short-circuit protection, stable operation at high currents: 220 A constant and up to 550 A instantaneous. Ideal for high-performance e-motorcycles, karts, e-scooters and industrial systems.
Note: The note “8S-20S” below does not apply to this model. This BMS is for 17S-24S batteries.
Key benefits
- Active balancing – fast cell alignment, more usable capacity, less heating.
- High currents – up to 220 A DC, up to 550 A peak discharge.
- Full protection – over/off-load, short circuit, temperature (NTC).
- Wide “S” range – 17S-24S (72V/84V/96V Li-ion; corresponding LFP versions).
- Smart monitoring – BT/UART connection
Compatibility
- Chemistry: Li-ion (NMC/NCA), LiFePO₄ (LFP)
- Configuration: 17S-24S (number of S’s to be selected by package)
- Applications: e-motorcycles, high-power e-bikes, generators, mobile power systems
Specifications
- Balancing: active (energy transfer between cells)
- Currents: 220 A constant / 550 A peak (transient)
- Protection: over-charge, over-discharge, short-circuit, temp.
- Voltage (Li-ion 4.2 V/cell): 17S ≈ 71.4-100.8 V; 24S ≈ 100.8 V full
- Connections B- / C-, balancing bar B1…Bn according to diagram
- Connectivity: BT/UART
Installation
- Connect the balancing wires B-, B1, B2, … exactly according to the sequence of cells.
- Install a fuse close to the battery; provide heat dissipation.
- Perform the first start-up with load limiting and real-time monitoring.
FAQ
Is it suitable for an 84V system (20S Li-ion)?
Yes – 20S is in the 17S-24S spectrum.
How is active balancing better than passive balancing?
Rather than “burning” excess energy, active balancing transfers it between cells, smoothing out tensions faster and protecting the Wh.
Can I use it with high power controllers (BAC/KO/EBMX, etc.)?
Yes, as long as the BMS current limits are not exceeded .
