Proper maintenance of an electric scooter includes regular charging and storage of the battery, checking its condition and responsible use to ensure its longevity and safety

Correct charging of the battery is essential for a long and efficient scooter life. Timely and sufficient tyre inflation and proper battery charging are essential. Every electric scooter has different batteries with different capacities, power outputs and voltages, so it is important to use the right charger that is neither too weak nor too powerful.

It is also important to monitor the battery discharge level. We recommend that you avoid draining the battery completely, as this can shorten the life of the battery. And if you do happen to ride out and drain the battery completely, avoid leaving the scooter with a discharged battery, as this will damage the battery and shorten its life. The optimal way is to charge the battery when it is about 20-30% discharged.

Storage

If you are not going to use your scooter for a long period of time, it is essential to store and prepare the battery properly to ensure its longevity. We recommend storing the scooter in a dry and clean place where the temperature is within the normal range. Avoid direct sunlight and moisture. Leave the battery at ~ 80% charge. If possible, we recommend that you “wake up” the scooter at least once a month by turning the engine on, charging it to 80% and you can safely leave it standing again.

Maintenance and state of repair:

Check the condition of your scooter periodically and carry out any necessary technical checks. Check the brakes, tyre pressure and condition, electrical connections (if any on the outside) and other important components. If you notice any irregularities or discrepancies, please contact FabiRide’s qualified technicians so that we can carry out any repairs or necessary modifications.

Operating environment

Choose the right environment and travel safely. Obey traffic rules and drive responsibly. Avoid extreme conditions such as heavy rain, snow or slippery road surfaces. It is also important to avoid accidents, bumps or scratches that could damage the frame or battery of the scooter.

Summary

Proper maintenance of your electric scooter is important to ensure its long and efficient operation. Follow the instructions for charging and discharging, store your scooter properly, check its condition regularly and use it in the right conditions. Remember that a properly maintained scooter will not only last longer, but also provide a safe and enjoyable travel experience.
